It's all good :)

This past week has been a bit of a blur. I've absolutely love the gorgeous weather we've been having. I was supposed to go to Mississauga this past weekend, but that was canceled. This left me with a free weekend, and since my calendar has me going almost 3 months without a free weekend I kinda welcomed the canceled plans. I was able to relax, hang out with my best friend, and spend time with my favorite kids (Ethan & Kayla).

Everything is coming together for the Missions Trip. We had a meeting last Thursday to go over all the details of the trip (itinerary, what to bring etc.). I feel completely prepared for the trip. I mean as much as I can prepare the physical stuff for going. I don't really know about emotionally. I don't have any idea what to expect, but I'm not feeling anxious or worrying about the trip like I was a month ago. So that's definitely an answer to prayer.

Beautiful Weekend

Last weekend was so great! I went camping with the Cadets. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. The weather was the nicest we've had on a cadet weekend in 3 years. It didn't rain at all the whole weekend. I was working on the absail tower all day Saturday and the morning on Sunday. I absolutely LOVED doing the belaying. Half the cadets had never absailed before so it was really neat to see them face their fears.

Also staying on the topic of cadets for this blog entry. My paper work has finally all gone through. Last night I was sworn in as a CIC Officer. So it's all done (or more like it's just starting).

Anyway that's all for tonight. I'm off to bed, and not really looking forward to waking up in the morning. I have a doctors appointment to get 2 needles in preparation for my missions trip. I'm not really a big fan of needles. On that note, sweetdreams.

I've got mail :)

Yesterday was such a long day (as every Tuesday is). I left the house for work before 8am, and it was after 10pm before I was back in my driveway. But when I was walking into the house I HAD MAIL!!! Even better then that it was something I mailed myself (read the blog last week before you judge me).

I was so excited! Early last week I sent out some letters to my friends and family asking for their support while I go on my trip to the Dominican. This was my first response from these letters. YAY! So Exciting! There's been so much on my mind about this trip as it's getting closer. I've been praying a lot for everything, trying to just give it all to God, and not be anxious about it. The last few days have been good. I've felt really calm about everything. I know that He is in control, and I've just been able to give it all to Him. So getting this letter yesterday was GREAT! It just reassured me of everything.

On a completely different note:

Today is one of my co-worker's 30th B-day, so I'm having lots of fun today at work bugging her about how "old" she is. Haha! As part of her present I got her Collagen Anti-Age Skin Firming Masks. Haha! It's ok I know she's going to get me back.

Don't worry Amy, 30 isn't that old...compared to 90. ;)

All Smiles :)

Hmm :) this has been such a great week, and it's almost the weekend already. Not that I have any bigs plans. In fact my big plans (to go to Huntsville) have been cancelled. But whatever, I'm sure I'll get up there soon enough.

Anyway back to my great week. It's has been the most beautiful weather. I can't believe that just 3 weeks ago I woke up to 2 1/2 feet of snow. And this week I'm wearing capris and flip-flops. Wow you've got to love Canadian weather. I don't know what it is about spring time, but this new fresh feeling in the air just puts me in such a good mood. Even though stuff can be kinda annoying at work, and there is normal life stuff, spring just makes me smile :).

If you know me you know I love getting stuff in the mail (besides bills)...I know I'm a geek so what! Yesterday my order from www.mec.ca finally came in. I was so excited (even though I technically sent it to myself, whatever. I ordered a backpack for my trip, since I don't plan on taking my purse, and there is no way I'm wearing a fanny pack (sorry Jocelyne). You can see my new backpack in the pic below. Mine is blue...loves it!

Then as if my day couldn't get any better...my plans that had been canceled on Friday and Saturday finally ended up happening last night. Like I said...All Smiles :)

YAY! It's Friday :o)

This week feels like it flew by. I woke up this morning in a great mood, which for me doesn't happen very often since I'm NOT a morning person.
Well my day started off good and I couldn't believe how fast the morning went by! All the sudden it was my lunch hour. I went to do some running around on my lunch. One of my stops was the grocery store to pick up something to eat (since I have NO lunch food in my house, I should probably do something about that).

My junk food cravings haven't been to bad. But I really wanted something salty today. I didn't end up getting anything (except my lunch), because I didn't know if Corn Nuts or Pretzels are junk food (anyone know?). Then after I got back to the office and was eating my lunch I realized I should've bought some peanuts or something like that. Since that's not junk food. Oh well, I survived. I didn't die, and as far as I know I'll be alright.

Now I'm relaxing at home since my plans for the night got canceled. But I'll welcome this night of relaxation. Life's been busy lately, and it's only going to get more busy with preparations for D.R.
